A visit from Beatrice!!!

Dear Readers,

I am Beatrice! I'm sure Briana has told you that I am the queen of the flock! I know what your thinking..."Of course she's queen of the flock with her stylish feathers and all." Well, these things don't come easily. First, you need to fluff up your feathers, put on your sensitive egg cream, paint your talons, shine your beak and eat healthy. We chickens are on a diet of worms, grass, apples, rice and all the essentials. Now, being the queen of the flock I intend to become the queen of the large white coop known as the Beller household. And because I am queen, I declare dogs banned from my kingdom.

But, unfortunately, voting day is coming up for new queen, but I can always be re-nominated. I think Goldilocks would make a close second. I'm supposed to meet President Obama this morning but I don't know what to wear! Should I wear my purple dress, pink dress, red dress, or my white one? Please vote in the comment section.

Sincerely your MOST popular hen,

Beatrice Beautiful Beller

A Snowy Day with the Hens!

A cold day for the hens!

Today, my mom was digging a little trail for our hens. The big snow seemed to be too much for their small, little feet. The hens were walking in the snow for a bit, then instantly ran into the coop. Beatrice and all the other hens told me to say that they will be writing some blog postings! So you can look forward to hearing from my dearly beloved hens.

I have recently noticed that the hens have an order of laying. First, after breakfast, Goldilocks heads up to the nesting box announcing her arrival to the box. Then, Happy Feet marching up slowly. Then, it's Isis who lays her egg, then Anastasia who announces that she has laid her egg. Then, last but not least it's Stardust. When Stardust finishes laying her egg she calls for us, telling us that all eggs have been laid.

Thank you for reading to my blog postings! I would love it if you would comment!

Silly Hens!

Today my silly hens went out to free range! But there tiny little feet get cold in the snow. So I decided to pick up each little hen and place them on a small tree in my backyard. They looked at me as if I were there savior!

But one small little problem...They were afraid of heights! So by helping them my mom placed each hen on my shoulder, back and or hand. As I walked them down to the coop they slowly made there way towards my head seeing how far they were from home.

After all of them were safely transferred from the tree to the coop they enjoyed some cheese puffs as a treat.
